The neurological and emotional powers of storytelling are deeply rooted in our human nature. Storytellers and stories can bridge differences and foster deep understanding. Stories have the power to pull down preconceived notions, challenge biases and raise up shared humanity. Stories also help us imagine a range of possibilities.
Speaker Bio:
Storyteller, educator, and author Norah Dooley is a mom, activist, and union member dedicated to inspiring people of all ages through the art of storytelling. Norah works with communities of all ages to help individuals discover and share their unique voices. The project director of StoriesLive.org, Norah has taught storytelling at Lesley, Tufts, Suffolk and Boston Universities as well as to teachers in Japan, India and Tanzania. In K-12 schools across the US she is booked by ArtsForLearningMA .org, where she is a visiting author, storyteller, and Nationally Credentialed Teaching Artist.
