Service Description:
Over billions of years, the forces of evolution cooked up an amazing array of life forms on our beautiful planet that lived within the daily solar energy budget. With the emergence of humankind, everything changed. The human population grew, and capitalism supercharged the extraction economy with little concern with the carrying capacity of the ecosystem. Now climate change effects are all around us and nations are scrambling to reduce their carbon emissions. Nations and states are finally willing to act, but bureaucratic processes may be too slow to meet the UN ICCP goal of 50% emissions reduction by 2030. Society’s best hope may lie with the reductions that individuals and private entities can achieve in the next 2 -3 years. Are we up to the task? What must we do in our own lives to address the climate crisis?
