Service Description:
This is a 5 Points Cluster service where we come together with one of the other churches in the 5 Point Cluster. This weekend we are “at” Canton (online).
“Stop the Elevator: A Moment of Sabbath”
In an essay in her book A Small Heaven, Rev. Jane Rzepka writes about a
48-floor ride in a glass elevator and teaches us about moments of Sabbath
that can occur in that elevator.
I don’t need to tell you that our world is currently fraught with anxiety, angst, tension, grief, and personal as well as societal stress. We owe it to ourselves, our families, and our wider communities to take care of ourselves, especially at times like these, to find ways to observe Sabbath moments. Join us as we explore ways to do just that this Sunday.
The service will be led by Interim Minister Rev. Bev Waring. Please join us online this Sunday, April 19, for this service, which will start at 10:30 a.m.
Stay safe and well and happy!
