Service Description:
This month is the centennial of the first Flower Ceremony that was held in Prague, in June 1923. We will be celebrating with a flower communion ceremony. Please bring your flower of choice to church, and place it in the large vase at the front of the sanctuary before worship begins. Don’t worry – if you forget to bring a flower, we will have a few extra so that everyone can participate in this much-beloved Unitarian tradition. We’ll also be honoring fathers of all kinds on this Father’s Day!
Led by the Worship Committee.
The Worship Committee is First Parish’s team for coordinating Sunday services. It’s currently led by co-chairs Elisa Blanchard, Brenda Naegle, and Jasmine Tanguay and members Jane Mooney, Bill Sevrens, and Jared Martin. The Worship Committee always welcomes new members, feedback about your Sunday experiences, and volunteers to serve as worship associates or to take part in lay-led services.
NOTE: This service will meet in person and also be broadcast on Zoom. Facemasks are currently optional in the First Parish Stoughton building. For the health of all in our community, please attend online if you are ill.
