This service is hosted by First Parish Unitarian Universalist Canton. Please visit their website: www.fpuccanton.org for details about the service topic, service format (online / in-person), and any COVID health safety guidelines.
Note: First Parish Stoughton will have a “watch party” onsite (in Stoughton) in the Fellowship Hall for anyone wanting to be together while watching the Zoom service. Face masks that cover both the nose and mouth are to be worn at all times while in the First Parish Stoughton building to help protect the most vulnerable in our community. Anyone experiencing symptoms of illness is encouraged to join remotely from their own home rather than joining the in-person watch party.

Sunday, January 9, 2022, 10:30 AM – “Shoot the Moon”— Rev. Megan Lynes – a Five Points Cluster Shared Worship Service hosted by First Parish Unitarian Universalist – Canton via Zoom
Have you risked it all and lost too many times to try again? Are you stuck and longing for a new way through your days? Come join us for a service about intention, big dreams and making sense of it all.
Rev. Megan Lynes is thrilled to be returning to the congregation that ordained her, and where she was the ministerial intern from 2004-2006. Megan grew up UU, attended Tufts University and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She received an M.Div from Andover Newton Theological School in 2008. During and following grad school, Megan served as a chaplain at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and led interfaith youth programs at Cooperative Metropolitan Ministries. Her volunteer work was at The Children’s Room, a center for grieving children and families, in Arlington, MA.
In 2009, Megan was called full time as the Parish Minister in a multi-staff ministry at the First Parish in Bedford, MA, where she served for nine years. She then served for two years as the Minister of Faith Formation at the First Church in Sterling, MA. Since the start of the pandemic, Megan has stayed home to raise her two-year-old son, Jesse. They live in Stow, MA, with Megan’s best friend Nazish, their two cats, and six chickens.
